Casablanca Cake
1 cup butter at room temperature
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
2 cups flour, sifted
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cardamom
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 cup sour cream
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Butter and flour a 10 inch Bundt pan. Cream butter and sugar well with mixer. Beat in eggs thoroughly. Sift together flour, cardamom, salt, and baking soda, into a separate bowl. Alternatively add the flour mixture and the sour cream to the butter mixture in the mixing bowl, beating well after each addition until batter is very smooth. Pour batter into prepared pan, distributing evenly with a rubber spatula.
Bake at 325 degrees for about 45-50 minutes or until cake pulls away from sides and toothpick comes out clean from center.
